Definitions
Gifts – goods (tangible and intangible), services, favors, invitations or any other advantage offered to a public agent in connection with the exercise of their professional functions;
Admissible gifts – gifts offered out of courtesy or on the occasion of protocol actions, including jubilee and commemorative metal coins;
Inadmissible gifts – goods, services, favors, invitations or any other advantage that are personally intended for public agents or their family, if their offering or granting is directly or indirectly related to the conduct of their professional activity;
Gifts offered out of courtesy – gifts offered in the context of personal/professional/national holidays/events as a sign of high appreciation, which do not influence and are not susceptible to be perceived as influencing the impartial fulfillment of service duties;
Gifts offered on the occasion of protocol actions – goods, including perishable products, usually offered within official delegations or offered to representatives of another public entity, community or foreign government.
Key Requirements
Declaration deadline for admissible/inadmissible gifts - 3 working days;
Total admissible value of admissible gifts during one calendar year - 1,000 lei.
